“We are driving down from Staffordshire early on the Saturday morning to meet with friends for a Golden Anniversary lunch at 12.30 pm., near Burnham. We chose The Greenwood because of the great reviews rather than stay where the lunch is being held.”

“Well where do I start,Just the very best place to stay,Penny is the nicest hotel owner my wife and I have met on our travels in the past,We were let down by a local hotel we had booked our wedding reception with on the 25th of August 2012,And then we found The Greenwood,Wow such a lovely looking house,So we knocked on the door and asked do they do weddings,Penny said she could do the reception and provide us with rooms for our family members,We had a marquee for the reception on the front lawn,Penny and her staff set our all the tables/chairs etc,A cold buffet was served at the tables and was really tasty,The whole day was just perfect,It was made more perfect because I had found the lady of my dreams and married her,My Meryl,It made me the happiest man alive.”

Graham S - Overal experience of our stay was fantastic,Stay you will not be dissapointed

“Highly recommend this Superb Hotel. With beautiful surrounding gardens and high quality rooms enjoy traditional cream teas on the front lawns, with home-made scones. Home cooked meals to a great quality. .. ”

Angel S - Fantastic management. A real friendly unforgettable experience

“We only stayed here for one night as we needed accommodation for a family function nearby and so literally just needed beds for the night and breakfast the next day. So unfortunately we didn't get to really 'try out' the facilities (e,g, the therapy room) but what we experienced was very good indeed. We stayed in an ensuite family room (No 1) - it was a good size, spotlessly clean, with tea/coffee/biscuits, hairdryer, wi-fi (yes!), a lovely view, plus a well-stocked bathroom, plenty of towels, nice toiletries, basically everything you would expect to get from a branded hotel chain. Breakfast was great - the usual full English but you could also ask for other items like pancakes. I appreciated the small touches for our 6-year-old: smaller sized cutlery already laid out on the breakfast table and allowing her to order exactly what she wanted on her cooked breakfast plate. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again. ”

Cheryl L - Room 1 is perfect for 2+1 with a nice view of the garden and fields beyond

“We stayed 3 nights through convenience to Family and we were so glad we did. Lovely welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk in through the door, Penny is a fantastic host, the Room was a good size with en-suite, everything was very clean, a very good choice for Breakfast catering for everyone, we couldn't have asked for more, very highly recommended!!!!!!! ”
